Israel’s international wine & spirits competition more »

The 12th Terravino has just taken place. This is Israel’s only international wines & spirits competition. This year 628 wines were sent from 31 countries. 53% of the wines were from Israel.

Terravino is the inspiration of Haim Gan of Ish Anavim (Grape Man). He organizes this competition and the annual White Festival in Herzliyah Pituach Port.  Ish Anavim based in Jaffa, is one of the main educational and wine cultural bodies in Israel offering wine courses and regular tastings.

Terravino is one of only two established wine competitions in Israel. The other is Eshkol Hazahav (The Golden Cluster) and its sister Best Value. However Terravino differs in a number of ways. Firstly it is for wines and spirits. Secondly it encourages overseas entrants and thirdly many of the judges are also guests from overseas.
