The Assemblage 2010 produced by Barkan Winery, has been selected as one of the top 100 wines recommended by the Wine Enthusiast Magazine. It is the only Israeli wine listed. The Wine Enthusiast is a well known American wine magazine, perhaps second in importance only to the Wine Spectator. This represents excellent recognition for both Barkan and Israeli wine.

?There are three Assemblage regional blends, each from different parts of the country. The Assemblage Reihan 2010 is made from Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot and Shiraz, from the Upper Galilee. It received 92 points from the Wine Enthusiast, a very good score for an Israeli wine.

?Barkan Winery is Israel?s second largest winery and number one exporter. Their brands include Superieur, Altitude, Assemblage, Special Reserve, Reserve, Classic and Domaine. They also produce the Segal brand, which is marketed separately. They have a large winery at Hulda in a beautiful setting, surrounded by Israel?s largest vineyard. The CEO is Shmuel Boxer. The chief winemaker is UC Davis trained Ed Salzberg. The winery was founded in 1990.

?The winery is owned by Tempo, Israel?s largest brewer and second largest beverage group, who represent a number of international brands such as Heineken, Chivas Regal, Absolut and Pepsi Cola, as well as Barkan and Segal.
