Yatir Syrah 2009 has achieved a score of 92 points in the Wine Enthusiast. This is a high score for an Israeli wine.???? ???? 2009

The wine is made from 98% Syrah grapes and 2% Viognier, both grown in Yatir Forest. It is aged for one year in small French oak barrels.

Yatir Winery was founded in 2000. It is situated at Tel Arad in the north east Negev desert. The vineyards come from Yatir Forest, Israel's largest planted forest, which is high altitude of up to 900 meters above sea level.

The Wine Enthusiast is along with the Wine Spectator and Wine Advocate, is one of America's most respected wine magazines.

Yatir Syrah 2009 also finished first in a tasting of Israeli red wines by wine writer and critic, Jancis Robinson.
