Eshkol Hazahav (The Golden Cluster) is the annual wine tasting competition held in Israel for the last 14 years. It is organized by the Studio Ben Ami.
This year, the competition awards were announced at The Peres Center for Peace in Jaffa, in a beautiful setting, overlooking the Mediterranean Sea. 268 wines were submitted and these were tasted by 30 judges made up of winemakers, wine waiters, wine critics and wine lovers.
The dominant wineries were the Golan Heights Winery and Tabor Winery with no less than four first places each, followed by Shilo Winery with three. The most successful brands or labels were Adama (Tabor) and Yarden ( Golan Heights).
