Best Cocktail book in the world! more »

The book 'Happy Hours' (Shaot Simchot) by Mira Eitan came in first place in the category of cocktail books in the Gourmand Wine and Drinks Awards 2016. The prize in effect means this has been judged the best cocktail book of the year in the Oscars of drinks books. It was up against similar books from all over the world.

The competition was judged in the wine region of China, which is where the prestigious prize was announced.

Mira Eitan is in charge of press and communications  in the marketing department of Carmel Winery. She is also Israel's leading journalist on alcohol and spirits. Previously she was editor of the magazine Wine, Gourmet and Alcohol.

Her award is the finest prize ever awarded to an Israeli wine or drinks book.

The book is published in Hebrew by Lunchbox. Maybe this success will encourage them to produce an English edition!
