Carmel has launched a new label for their existing Appellation series. There are five wines in the range and they will be later joined by a sparkling wine.

The wines are:

Appellation Rose 2016
A dry rose made from Grenache and Tempranillo from the Judean Hills. Pink color, delicate berry nose, fresh acidity. Good aperitif.

Appellation Gewurztraminer 2016
A semi dry white wine made from Gewurztraminer from Judean Hills vineyards. Aromatic with good acidity. This off dry wine will be popular with those preferring a semi dry wine.

Appellation Cabernet Sauvignon Shiraz 2016
Made from grapes grown in the Upper Galilee, this wine is fruit forward, flavorful and represents good value. Aged 12 months in oak barrels.

Appellation Merlot 2016
Varietal merlot from the Upper Galilee. Aged 12 months in oak barrels.

Appellation Cabernet Sauvignon 2016
A Cabernet Sauvignon from Upper Galilee vineyards. An elegant well-made wine, arguably the best buy of the series, representing excellent value. Aged for 12 months in oak barrels.

The wines may be found in Israeli supermarkets and in export markets. The price will be 50-55 shekels.
