Invited third year in a row more »

Tabor Winery has again been invited to represent Israel at the New York Wine Experience to be held towards the end of 2017. This is the third year in a row. The event is organized by the Wine Spectator, and it is arguably the most prestigious wine gathering in the annual calendar. Two hundred and fifty of the world's finest wineries will be there, invited by invitation only and they will each be represented by the owner and winemaker themselves. The wine Tabor Winery will be pouring is the Tabor Sufa 2013 (Sufa in English is 'Storm'). It is a blend of Cabernet Sauvignon and Petite Sirah, which was selected after blind tastings by the Wine Spectator.

Tabor Winery was founded in 1999 by four growers in Kfar Tabor (Tabor Village), in the shadow of Mount Tabor in the Lower Galilee. The winery CEO is Oren Sella, from one of the founding families. The winemaker is Arieh Nesher, who previously worked for Carmel and Tishbi. The viticulturist is Michal Akkerman, ex Barkan.

This is an immense achievement by Tabor Winery, and reflects great credit on Israeli wine as whole. Tabor Winery again has the honor of representing the finest of Israel in the world’s most prestigious forum.
