Twelve Masters of Wine will next week visit Israel and be introduced to the Israeli wine scene. It is arguably the highest profile visit yet of people wishing to become more informed about Israeli wine.
A Master of Wine is the pinnacle of the wine trade and there are only something like 350 in the world. The visit has been efficiently and professionally organized by The Israel Export Institute, and in particular Yaara Shimony, the manager of the wine sector.
The program includes visits to wineries and vineyards, master classes on specific wine regions, and tastings. The important visitors will have the opportunity to discover the history, technology, terroir and taste of Israeli wine.
