The Alena Restaurant in Tel Aviv has been awarded the Wine Spectator Award of Excellence. It is the only Israeli restaurant listed. Alena is part of the prestigious 'The Norman', one of the finest boutique hotels in Israel, situated on 25 Nachmani Street in Tel Aviv. The sommelier there is Shira Tsiddon, one of Israel's best young sommeliers. The hotel has already won the award for having the Best Wine List in Israel.
The Wine Spectator is the number one wine magazine in America, with distribution worldwide. The Award of Excellence is awarded annually to those restaurants with wine lists reaching certain standards. The Norman already has a reputation of one of the finest wine venues in Israel.
