In a tasting of Israeli wines by the Wine Spectator, a number of Israeli wines scored 90 or 91 points. Wine Spectator is considered the number one wine magazine in America. It is no surprise to see Clos de Gat, Tzora Vineyards and Yarden of the Golan Heights Winery in such a list. They usually feature when the best Israeli wines are being discussed. Galil Mountain also has a good record in blind tastings. However it was a surprise to see Tura Winery in this company. Their Mountain Peak scored 90 points and it is well deserved recognition for a fast improving winery.

The wines were:

Clos de Gat Chardonnay 2015

Yarden Cabernet Sauvignon 2014

Yarden Katzrin Chardonnay 2016

Galil Mountain Yiron 2014

Tura Mountain Peak 2014

Tzora Misty Hills 2016
