Israel’s premier International Wines & Spirits Competition has taken place at Isrotel’s wine themed hotel Cramim, set in the Judean Hills. The competition is called Terravino and it is in its 14th year. 618 wines were tasted by the wine professional judges, and 328 of these were from Israel. The others were from 28 different countries. The judges were made up of a team of 40.
Terravino was founded by Haim Gan of Ish Anavim (The Grape Man) and he still manages the competition. The Terravino Lifetime Award for 2019 was made to Eli Ben-Zaken of Domaine du Castel. The main awards for Israeli wineries were as follows.
