Assaf Ben Dov is the new CEO of the Golan Heights Winery more »

Assaf Ben Dov has been appointed the new CEO of the Golan Heights Winery. He will take up his position in May 2022.

Assaf Ben Dov, 53 years old (married with three children), is richly experienced in senior management positions. He has been CEO of Hamashbir, the leading department store, a senior manager of the Luxury Goods Department of L’Oreal Israel and was most recently CEO of Maccabi Haifa. He replaces Yair Shapira who completed his five year term and asked to be released, so he can look forward to new challenges.

Under Assaf Ben Dov’s management, the winery will continue to lead and promote the Israeli wine industry in Israel and around the world. Ben Dov is expected to bring local and international knowledge and experience to the position, and take the winery into its fifth decade. Gabriel Hemo, Chairman of the Golan Heights Winery said: ” I would like to thank Yair Shapira for his great contribution and wish him good luck in his future endeavors. I welcome Assaf Ben Dov and wish him great success. Assaf has rich business and managerial experience in senior positions and I am confident that he will lead the winery to new achievements.”

Assaf Ben Dov will be only the 6th CEO of the Golan Heights Winery to have served since the winery was founded in 1983.
