Nir Gal, 43 years old, has been appointed the new CEO of Barkan Winery. For the last two years he was Deputy CEO, and previous to that, worked for Tempo and the winery in a
variety of different marketing capacities.
Barkan Winery was founded in 1990. It is situated at Hulda, south east of Tel Aviv, not far from Rehovot. The winery is owned by Tempo Beverages, which is a ‘total beverage’ company and Israel’s largest brewery. Amir Borenstein is the Chairman of Barkan Winery, Nir Gal the CEO and Ido Lewinsohn MW is the winemaker. They produce wines under the labels Barkan and Segal. Barkan labels include Superieur, Altitude, Beta, Assemblage, Special Reserve, Gold, Reserve and Classic. Segal’s labels include Unfiltered, Rechasim, Wild Ferment, Whole Cluster, Free Run and Shel Segal.
